Freund's win on the 1st day of competition

The highly anticipated weekend in Planica started with excellent results for Slovenian team with Peter Prevc's 3rd place in today's series. He jumped 129,0 m in the first round which was enough for 4th place. He improved his result in the final round with 134,5 m which put him in the final third place. Today's winner was German Severin Freund (137,5; 137;5) who came 5th after the first round but caught up with the second jump. After leading in the first round, Norwegian Anders Bardal (136,5; 134,5) finished second. With today's 4th place Kamil Stoch from Poland secured his first place in the overall World Cup standings.
