214 meters at the flying hill test

214 meters at the flying hill test

Kranjska Gora – The official flying-hill test in Planica was successful. First round began at around 10 a.m. and after 22 jumps second round with 20 jumps followed. The best length of the first series was set Austrian Willi Denifl who landed at 196 meters. The most successful in the second series was another Austrian, Lucas Muller with 214 meters long jump. The best among Slovenes was Matic Kramaršič who landed at 203 meters.

Chief of competition Jelko Gros commented: »Competitors were quite reserved in the first series but the second series was better – some jumps were over 200 meters long and I'm pleased about that. There was a bit of misfortune when a younger competitor fell but he didn't hurt himself and he's in the hospital under observation.« In spite of some problems because of high temperatures in the last few days, inrun got a great evaluation. »Inrun is in a better condition than expected and we're all happy about it.«

Official training starts tomorrow at 9 a.m. and qualifications at 11 a.m.
